Charkin Blog is a blog published in book form by Macmillan. I missed the launch party, but from several reports it was an enjoyable and intriguing event.

Its one of life’s little ironies that with the Kindle, Amazon has espoused a download method for distributing digital books, approximating to the traditional model of bookshop which feeds individual libraries. Google yesterday announced their API for the Google Book Search platform (well it had sort of been pre-announced more than 6 months ago) but it has been given more breadth and visibility via this blog announcement.
