It’s coming to the end of 2020, a stranger and more difficult year than the others that have come before it, so we are all looking forward to a hopefully better new year! Exact Editions has, however, continued to be busy throughout with the addition of over 30 new titles on its platform, new and expanding book collections, as well as new publisher services and features.
New Titles
Literary titles such as BRICK, A Literary Journal and The Book Collector are now available to subscribers with their full archives, as well as other art and music titles such as Jazznytt, and Tribal Art Magazine. New titles that have joined the Exact Editions over the year include Music & Literature, TES, Flash Art, CrossStitcher, Plays International & Europe, Poetry London, and Australian Foreign Affairs, covering subjects ranging from arts, theatre, hobbies, literature and politics.

One of our latest magazine additions is The British Museum Magazine which is now available to institutions. Subscribers will have access to the museum’s membership magazine which currently includes over 50 back issues to explore, with the full archive to come in the new year.
Exact Editions has also recently added 5 outdoor leisure titles published by Warners Group Publications: What Motorhome, Campervan, Caravan, Camping and The Motorhomers’ Magazine which join the other Warners titles available in the shop. Each magazine are the ideal digital resource for outdoor living enthusiasts.

Expanding Book Collections

Each guide provides an illustrative introduction into a range of subjects including philosophy, politics, biography, science and literature. The ICON Books Science Collection, a collection of science titles offering a uniquely brilliant way to explain some of humankind’s most thrilling scientific subjects and theories, is also available.

Subscribers to The Carcanet Collection now have access to over 240 books, a comprehensive and diverse collection of modern and classic poetry in English and in translation. Institutions can also purchase the Carcanet Schools Collection, providing access to 30 selected titles from the Carcanet list.

New Book Collections

The latest book collection to come on board is the Pimpernel Press Collection launching in the new year, a growing digital collection that currently includes over twenty-five finely illustrated gardening, architecture and landscape titles.
New Publisher Services
Exact Editions offer several brand new features to current publishing partners:
A new Social Media Marketing Pack can now be requested which includes a GIF, an Instagram Story Template and a Facebook banner, enabling publishers to use these resources to showcase their digital edition across all social media channels. Another new marketing tool available is a Promo Code option, enabling a publisher to request a promotional discount for their title.
A major new and cutting-edge tool for publishers to use to promote their content are the Reading Rooms feature, which is a way to hand out temporary access to their title. Publishers can select a link that will provide access to the latest or previous back issue or full archive and have a choice of choosing a link lasting one hour, one day, one week or thirty days.
Other News
During the Spring lockdown earlier this year, Exact Editions offered to any book or magazine publisher to freely use Exact Editions’ innovative Reading Room technology as a means of distributing new issues to their readership as an alternative to the print issue, or as a supplementary resource as compensation for a late postal copy.
In an effort to assist schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, Exact Editions partnered with 8 publishers to offer schools free access to the digital archives of their magazines until 1st October 2020 and over 1000 schools worldwide signed up to the ‘Remote Resources’ package, using the extensive archives of Chemistry World, New Internationalist, Geographical, Prospect, Resurgence & Ecologist, BBC History Magazine, BBC Music Magazine, BBC Science Focus Magazine and The World Today as part of their teaching.

Exact Editions work with a growing number of membership organisations such as Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Tate, The Royal Society of Biology, and now The British Museum Magazine. As well as assisting in selling subscriptions to digital editions of membership magazines, Exact Editions can offer new ways to share digital content with members, either through the use of services such as white labelling, universals or through the latest Reading Rooms technology.

This autumn, Exact Editions partnered with the blog of the American Philosophical Association (APA) and several academic publishing houses. This new project involves Exact Editions digitising philosophy books written by the APA authors and supplying time-limited links to the complete books accessible online for review on the APA Blog, with new books available each month.
