Over the past decade, Rusted Radishes / فَمْ: مجلة بيروت الأدبية والفنية has established itself as a space for emerging and established writers and artists with a connection to Lebanon and the Arab world. Rusted Radishes publishes contemporary works of literature and art in English and Arabic. The borders for submissions are meant to create space for international writers and artists from the Arab world while Beirut’s revolving door of influences and cultures, its history, and its perch on the Mediterranean, is certainly at the heart of a unique convergence of voices. 

Over the years, Rusted Radishes has published diverse, rare and interesting work by emerging artists and students side by side by established writers and translators. Each issues features writing, translations, and graphic narratives in both English and Arabic as well as artwork in all forms.

Rusted Radishes was founded by English Department faculty Rima Rantisi and Crystal Hoffman of the American University of Beirut in 2012 with the intention of creating a space for both emerging and established writers who have a connection to Lebanon. The journal is edited and designed by a staff of AUB faculty, students, and alumni.

Available cross-platform on the web, Android, and iOS, subscribers can access and navigate back and upcoming issues of Rusted Radishes at home or on the go.
