An opportunity to delve into recent work from a diverse range of literary powerhouses

More than 20 members of the Community of Literary Magazines & Presses (CLMP) have participated in a new, fully searchable digital showcase developed in partnership Exact Editions. The showcase, which is available via Exact Editions and on CLMP’s website for the rest of 2024, is a celebration of literary magazines with rich histories spanning more than two decades.

Innovative Digital Publishing Solution

The showcase is powered by the Exact Editions platform, which displays each issue side by side and neatly organised into alphabetical order. The advanced search function enables key words to be located within individual issues or the whole showcase at the click of a button, whilst linked contents pages and an alternative plain-text site allow for easy navigation and accessibility.

Although the showcase can be reliably cited via its “home” on the CLMP web pages, the resource is fully shareable and readers can copy and reference links to individual pages within issues, too.

CLMP’s Executive Director, Mary Gannon, commented: “This showcase of stalwart journals reinforces the strength and vitality of the literary magazine landscape today. The featured magazine issues look beautiful on the Exact Editions platform, and it’s wonderful to be able to offer our members and the wider public a chance to read full issues of more than 20 publications and experience their excellence firsthand.”

Daryl Rayner, Managing Director of Exact Editions, said: “It is a privilege to host such a prestigious range of magazines on the platform. The showcase aligns with CLMP’s mission of communicating the art of literary publishing to readers, writers, booksellers, librarians, and educators; it’s now easy to share this snapshot of their members’ content.”
