Exact Editions is pleased to announce, in partnership with the British Artist Blacksmiths Association (BABA), that members can now access the complete digital archive of the organisation’s magazine. Artist Blacksmith is additionally available to institutional subscribers. Members can explore the fully-searchable archive stretching back to 1979 as well as new issues published on a quarterly basis.

Over its history, Artist Blacksmith has developed from a simple black and white publication into a full-colour, 52-page, glossy magazine about creative blacksmithing. Featuring articles, event information, photo galleries and debates, the magazine is printed using vegetable-based inks and no alcohol, as part of the editorial ‘green’ policy. Each issue features a contribution from a guest editor, keeping the content fresh and the viewpoints varied.
Access to the digital edition for members is facilitated through Exact Editions’ pioneering ‘White Labelling Service’, which allows publishers to directly manage and control both the e-commerce and access to their digital edition. Members can use the advanced search function to find key words, topics or artist amongst the treasure trove of content spanning over 40 years.

‘The new digital edition looks fantastic on the Exact Editions platform and will serve as a valuable resource to members who wish to find out more about the history of creative blacksmithing and the organisation as a whole.’
Owen Phillips, Website Administrator of BABA
“Publishers are increasingly looking for ways to diversify their membership offering, and the addition of a streamlined digital edition to organisations’ websites is certainly a benefit to members. We’re delighted to be working with BABA on this new phase of their website.”
