🎙 Welcome to the next edition of the #EmployeeSpotlight blog series 🎙
In today’s instalment we’re interviewing our Institutional Sales & Marketing Assistant, Georgia Davies.

1. How long have you worked at Exact Editions?
I’ve just recently passed the 1 year mark at Exact Editions! I started at the company straight after graduating, learning the ropes from my line manager and taking on more responsibilities over the following months.
2. Could you describe a day in the life of an Institutional Sales & Marketing Assistant?
I always start with a large coffee and my Twitter posts for the day, then I look through my emails to answer any assigned queries and continue discussions with librarians.
One of my main roles is creating weekly institutional marketing mailers, a creative part of my job which I really enjoy. The rest of the day is generally spent conducting research around the school library market, completing administrative tasks, and speaking with university librarians on the phone (and drinking more coffee).
3. What is your favourite part of your job?
I would say running the Exact Editions Libraries Twitter account is one of the best parts of the job. I love creating graphics and conducting research for the account, especially as posts like #LibrariesInTheArchive allow me to explore some of the wonderful publications Exact Editions hosts.
4. What is a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
I love to paint, draw, and work with clay. My dream retirement is to have my own pottery studio where I mould pots and wear lots of floaty dresses and too many beads!
5. What is one thing you can’t live without?
Coffee is important but my Poirot and Sherlock Holmes box-sets which I’ve had for years are up there too.
6. What do you like to do in your free time?
Now that it’s summer my favourite weekend activity is a big picnic, preferably with rounders.
Quick fire favourites:
Meal?
Definitely fajitas with fresh guacamole and loads of jalapenos.
Holiday destination?
I loved visiting Vienna, you can see some of the most beautiful Klimt paintings in person there and they have possibly the best cake in the world.
Cocktail?
A Pink Lady, it’s a disturbing shade of rose and absolutely delicious!
Thanks so much for taking part, Georgia. It’s great to hear about the favourite bits of your role!
